OKay, got the swing arm bushings fixed on my frame. Now because of the foot pegs mounts are different on the 750 then 1100E the bolt is about inch and half to short. So I try and find one or just have one made?

I think that is GS1000/GS1100 diameter so I suspect one does not exist as stock. The 1150 one is likely no longer...1980 GS1000G - Sold

It comes off a 1980-81 GS1100E. Reason for the length difference is the foot peg brackets, the 1100 brackets are dished in and the 750 ones aren't. And no the 1100 brackets won't fit the 80 750E frame. I know cuz I have a pair of each and tried it. Thought this would be a cool modification and its turning out to be a real pain in the butt.Comment

it wont cost too much to get a new spindle made. a good machine shop should be able to make one in no time at all. i had a longer front wheel spindle made for my GS and they only charged me a few quid just for the steel1978 GS1085.

Already been to a good machine shop (guy machined my frame swing arm bushings) said he could do it though he is concerned about the safety of the bolt and the material he would have use, something like 4140 chrome alloy. The cost would be around $75. Don't know how that converts into a quid...Comment
