    GS450 Fork Oil Volume

I did a search and didn't find the answer to my question....I'm changing fork seals and fork oil on my GS450T (1981). I don't have a manual to see how much fork oil to use for the refill. Quantity in Oz. or CC will be fine, or better yet (I think more accurate), would be how far from the top of the tube should the oil level be (fork collapsed or extended, without springs or with springs... however it's spelled out to measure).

    Thanks, in advance.

Here's some links from BassCliff's website that has lots of GS Info, including what your looking for.

I don't recall the volume or height, but you measure with the spring out and fork collapsed, and you measure the height from the top of the fork slider.

Don't have my factory manual handy at the moment to give you the info unfortunately, but try the Clymer or Haynes if they're online on BassCliff's site, should have the info in it.

Thanks gentlemen! Just what I was needing. I'm glad the height and quantity were both listed. I personally think the height is more accurate of the two methods.

I appreciate your quick responses. One day, hopefully, I'll be able to offer someone some help.
