80 gs850 front end swap onto 77 gs750
I bought 1980 gs850 forks and triple trees to put on my 77 gs750....bearings are different. What do I do to make it work....or will it work?Tags: None

And will the brake calipers mounted the GS 850 fork line up with the discs on a 750's front wheel? Is the 750's front axle long enough or is the 850's needed?

So it will take two sets of tapered rollers. The GS750 replacement for the upper race and a KZ440, H1 500, or H2 750 as the most common for the bottom. Thanks! I hope All Balls is not the only supplier because I have found their quality control to be hit or miss.

you will not need to buy 2 sets of bearings. once you know the sizes you need, just go to a good bearing supplier and buy them off the shelfOriginally posted by Pete's GS View PostSo it will take two sets of tapered rollers. Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!
