110/90-19 front tire

'81 GS550T, Is the 110/90 19 tire worth putting on vs the 100/90-19 tire? Is it better to go bigger or not ?

IMHO, no.

If your bike is like mine (a 1981 GSX400T -and I think it is very similar), even the 100/90/19 is a tight fit under that front fender.

Yep and the faster you go the taller it gets

Don't bother with the wider tire. It isn't likely to get you any extra grip, especially mounted on the same rim. What it will definately do is make turning in more work. At high speed, with a bias ply you will also get early onset speed wobble.
