Are these progressive fork springs? pic

I got some new (to me) forks to repair my bent one. On dismantling I see that the springs in the new forks are different to my old ones. Slightly longer and with tight coils at one end. Are these the "progressive" springs I've heard about?

Yeah they look like Progressives to me. If you want to throw them out, I'll catch them!

While they are, indeed, progressively-wound springs, they don't appear to be from the Progressive Suspension company.

The metal on Progressive's springs is usually quite a bit thicker, those appear to be about the same as your old ones.

Many of the springs I have removed from GS forks have been progressively-wound, and I know for a fact that they were stock Suzuki springs.

Thanks for info Steve, they are from a GK that's slightly different to mine, I'm guessing a later model. The triple tree was also slightly changed, it has rubber mountings for the bars where my originals don't.

If the wire diameter is the same it looks like the top spring is a lot softer than the bottom spring, at least until the tight coils bind (at which point the effective spring rate will shoot up).
