Can I use a 1981 1000GL front wheel on a 1980 1000G?

GL parts bike front wheel is in better condition and is tubeless, so I want to do a swap for the G model I am building.

I know the forks are different. I looked up the the axles and brake rotors and they appear to be the same part, but the rim part numbers don't cross reference.

They look the same, just wanted to make sure before I get the new tire mounted.

Use it. Tubeless is the way to go. Wheels should be the same otherwise.
