Short of replacement, has anyone sucessfully cleaned the chalky white scale off the plastic cups so its clear again. Like when it was new and you could SEE the fluid level in them? Any refurbishing tips would be much appreciated.

I have tried different things, brake fluid, oil, WD-douche, silicone spray, some others. None worked very well. -

try 1000 grit wet and dry, then polish with T cut and normal paint polish1978 GS1085.

Tell the process please. Got some pics of a rehabbed one? I know they wrent crystal clear to begin with, but the ones i want to clean up are literaaly white looking...like white paint overspray on them.

I have found the chalky ones to be very brittle, think it's mostly UV damage that makes them chalky. I usually replace them because I don't want them to break.Comment
