81 Adjustable Shock ? GS1100E
Been waiting a while to buy a set of rear shocks for my 80 1100E. Have a set on the rear now that have only spring adjustment. Just found a set from an 81 that also have damping adjustment. Are these a good upgrade or should I just ride what I got till I buy some nice aftermarkets?Tags: None

Those 81 shocks are 32 yeas old now. There are plenty of aftermarket shocks built for these bikes yet. Alot of us the Progressive rear shocks and order a set of springs that match our riding styles. As for the fork springs, the progressive rate springs are passe' now days and again many of us are switching to the straight rate fork springs like Sonic or Race-Tech.Originally posted by cdnoel View PostBeen waiting a while to buy a set of rear shocks for my 80 1100E. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.
