    650EZ rear shock

Hi I'm a newbie to this and trying to find out how to take apart my rear shock? I've taken it off the bike and cleaned it up and it all works fine however I'd like to re spray the spring. The clymer manual talks about removing the spring keeper? Not sure they have this? At the top of the ram shaft there appears to be a 17mm nut?

Some ideas for removing the keeper here http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=187335 .Other than that the shocks are pretty much unsevicable

I made one like that with a old metal bed frame.
      Worked very well.
Would suggest padding the springs where you insert the metal.
The nut is used to lock the keeper onto the shaft.
Inserted a punch into the keeper then back off the nut from the keeper.
Then you can turn the keeper.
