Anyone had a rear brake line duplicated? Not a stainless one made, but an OEM rubber line replacement? Or anyone have a source to someone that can build them????

Front OEM ones are still available but the rears are not.

I think a reputable tire/brake shop should be able to make one.
The banjo connectors may be tough to match

Correct me if I'm wrong, but only the front lowers seem to be available. The upper isn't.

I'd love to find a set of stock lines too. The lines have date codes on them, so even if you find them the dates won't be right.

I was able able to get front lowers only from Suzuki.

I had Z1 make me a rear line which can be seen in post #181 picture #2 of this thread: http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...ght=wes+cooley

The line was thinner than the stock which made for a loose fit in the rubber grommets. However, it looked fine and was safely held in place. I simply measured the original and Z1 made it to length.

Number 4 says NO DESCRIPTION AVAILABLE but they show a price for it and the part number, so i am to assume its still a viable part. 9 is listed with a part number also.

Chuck , I got a complete set made by a bloke in Tasmania (Aus).
They were perzactly like the original ones . Wire coils , wear bits and all .
Give me a yell if you want me to look into it .
I bought mine 7 years ago so I've no idea how much they'd cost now .

Unfortunately, I am not on my laptop which has my pictures. I may have a better picture, will check as soon as possible.

The line is definitely thinner and does not have the ribbed cover. So if the OEM look is the only option, you will not be happy with this one.

Cant hurt to get an estimate Simon..If he is still making them. Im investigating possibilities for the rebuild we are doing. Brake lines that are passable will be the hard thing to find. That and a set of handle bars.

Seat covers from Pit replica are a no brainer. Other than these there arent gonna be too many things that cant be readily sourced.

Frame will be done this weekend and thats the entire chassis ready to start going back together.

What's wrong with Superbike bars chuck? The bend is almost identical.

Havent investigated them as to whats close. I did ask, about those Emgo ones but noone gve a concrete answer one way or another.

I measured my bars and they do have the 2 1/2 inch rise like the Emgo ones said. Once i get it back to a roller, I have some E bars for moving it around at least.

My local Aeroquip dealer told me could make me rubber lines with the correct fittings, about the same cost as SS
