    Help identifying fork

    Hi alls

Very please to join you to speak about motorcycle
I am french who search extra infomration that we do not found in Europe. It is also the opportunity to improve my (poor) english

So first topic, I try to identify the following fork, fitted on a 80's formula 2 bike that I am currently restoring

I was sure that is a fork from a Suzuki GS 1100 EF

    Actually this model have 37 x 645mm tube and mine (on my formula2) 37 x 595mm
Excactly the same but 75mm shorten!

It is a PSD / Posi Dumper Fork

Here some pic of the tube

    If anyone can help??

    Thanks in advance

Where did you get the info for the GSX1100EF fork tube length?

My info shows that the GSX1100EF (GS1100EF, if you prefer) had 37mm x 596mm fork tube length.

It could also be a set of forks from a 550ES. And probably several other models.

Quite hard to have info because of the different model between EU and US

Have you a picture of a GSX1100EF tubes?

You are right. There are two different part nos. for the GSX1100EF

            51110-00A00 (596mm)

            51110-00A30 (645mm)

As it happens, I DO have a photo of a GS1100EF fork tube!

I bought the 51110-00A00 (596mm) tube but the shape is not the same as the 51110-00A30 (645mm)
