    GS550L Tires

    Hi Guys,

In need of some advice, i have spent all afternoon reading up on reviews for tires, and can find good and bad about all of them

So i am thinking that the best idea is to ask those that know the bike i have...

She is a GS550L 1980, and i am looking to buy both tires as she has just come out of a 9yr storage stint so while they look fine i don't trust them.

    Thanks in advance

I like round tires. The kind you put air in. Some people call them donuts, but don't try to eat them.

Shinko 712s. You can get a set for your bike for a bit over $100, shipped:

I believe the proper sizes for your bike would be a 100/90-19 up front and a 120 or 130/90-18 for the rear.

Do you want long life, great handling, or inexpensive price?

        You can't have all three.

Yes, just put a shinko 712 on rear- much better than drag slick that I used last year! $66 shipped from Pinwall via Amazon link- came in 3 days via Fedex.
