Differences GS850/GS1000 front fork

Hi,

i have the opportunity to buy a pair of NOS outer fork legs.
They are either GS850G or GS1000 forks.

The GS850G and GS1000 both use the same 37mm fork seal, air valves, springs and some other small parts.
Suzuki uses partnrs. from other models when re-using parts.
The partnrs. for the forklegs differ, so i guess there are differences.

They use a different oil lock piece to hold the spring, for instance.

Is there a way to distinguish between the GS850G and GS1000 ?

Could not tell you right now, but I happen to have one of each in the back shed, I can look at them over the weekend.
