Can't find tire size chart anywhere…..

Tires for a 1.60 x 18 front rim and 1.85 x 18 rear rim, manual says 3.00 x 18 and 3.50 x 18, only thing I can find are dual sport tires like a Shinko 244….. Don't want those.


Looks like 90/90x18 front and 100/19 rear might be the closest I can find in a street tire, but they don't reccomend a rim that narrow.

Anyone have a tire size / rim width chart that includes the smaller sizes?

This for a 1980 450E.

There's smaller sizes out there, I know my collector friend bought something super small for a KH 250 not long ago

Shows a 90/90-18 is OK on the front, doesn't go that small for the rear.

Looking for the actual Avon chart if anyone has it.

When redoing my old 450 I used a 90/90-18 front and 110/90-18 rear. On paper the tires are a little big for those rims, but they worked just fine.

If I'm reading that other chart right Avon makes the Road Rider in 90/90x18 and 100/90x18. At least they show it on their chart ? Avon shows the 3.50 as 100/90. Is that wrong ?

Have them on my GT250 & T350.
Aren't a high performance tire but seem to be just fine for small vintage bikes.
But others probably disagree.

A local bike shop that works on my vintage bikes got them for me.
Tire are listed on BikeBandit & DennisKirk, as are a few others I don't have any experience with.

They look like original tires from back in the day. Have no idea how they perform. If I was restoring a GS450E to original concours condition as a show bike, I'd put them on it. I know they are very popular with the CB350/360/450 restoration crowd.





By the way, the tires on our GS450E are Avon Roadriders, 90/90-18 up front and 100/90-18 in the back. The back tire is one of the Avon front/rear switch hitters.

Yeah, if I had an engine I would have bought them already. 90/90 and 100/90 RoadRider I think.

Not interested in tires that look original, looking for tires that grip as I drag my elbow on the road...
