78 GS750E Rotor Interchange

Before I attempt cross-drilling my current rotors (a task I do not take lightly), are there later-model GS rotors that are a direct replacement? I poked around on eBay and found several listings for 80's model GS750 rotors that are cross-drilled or slotted. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The 1980 on rotors bolt right up, and I am parting out a 1980 750 with a very nice pair of slotted rotors.
