Hole in the steel brake line

The brake line has a split in it. I was going to cut it out and place an union in the line. Anyone done this before, got any tips?

I wouldnt splice a brake line myself. replace with an in tact one for your safety and piece of mind would be my advice.

I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Adding extra joints into a pressure line puts another point of failure into the system.

I'd replace it and investigate why it split in the first place.
