1979 gs750E front brake question

Hello,

i am new to this forum i have a rather obscure question about my front brake pads on the 79 gs750E

one pad is held in the caliper by a star screw/round plate
the other is held by a metal clip which appears to stop the pad from rotating

I mangled the clips removing the decades old brake pads and cannot find any information about obtaining new ones

I made my own but do not feel confident in leaving it this way

If anyone has encountered this i would appreciate any and all feedback

Maybe a used caliper from a wrecker?There should be very little force trying to rotate the pucks.

Where are you located? Someone may have a spare kicking around in a parts bin.
