You guys are killing me...am I wrong here?? How many times have I read right here in gsr that you should upgrade your suspension?? That 30 year old shocks are no longer doing their job and that they didn't really do a good job in the first place??

I have replaced the worn out shocks from earlier models with the 1100E shocks and absolutely love them. Unless they are bleeding oil, they should be working fine.
You HAVE been riding the bike as seen by your postings. What are you finding lacking with them after fine tuning the adjustments to your liking???Comment

He could take them apart, polish them and paint the odd bits and then wax regularly along with the rest of the bike.
