    GS1000E can I fit GSX1100et forks?

Hi newbie here, Just wanted to know if I am ok to try and fit GSX1100et front forks / yokes if necessary to my 78 1000E
i notice that the 1100 forks are of leading axle type, has anyone made this change and experienced any handling issues?

    thanks

I put a 81 Gs1100e front end on my 78 gs750e and the triple tree is flat which moves the forks back which makes up for the leading axle.

Thanks, so I will need to change the yokes as well?
