    Another GSXR fork thread

Would this be a good candidate for a front end swap onto my 1983 GS1100G?

1991 GSXR 750 being parted out.

Those are highly sought after, for conversions on 1st Gen GSXR but probably too short for a GS unless you keep stock exhaust.

Bike is already running V&H 4-1... Guess I'll pass on this. Thanks.

At least on GS1100E's that causes a right hand turn problem. I assume you were planning on using the 17" wheels as well?

You would need to compensate in one of a few ways.
Drop triple clamps off of a Honda (not cheap),
Taller shocks in the rear (expensive). There are some extension I have seen on ebay,
        Move the shock mounts

It is hard to overcome both short 17" wheels and short forks.

My suspension is in need of updating... I'm just better off replacing the springs in my forks and upgrading rear shocks/springs. Thanks.

It is just a standard "bolt on" with a little welding and a small pile of cash

Pretty much same length. Thicker diameter sliders. loose the tach drive. It went to electrical.
