    I would contact AllBalls directly.
They should be able to get you a bushing kit and steering stem bearing kit for your GS.

Pretty sure the GS forks before 1980 had no such bushings. 1980 and later forks did.

              "fork leg"?
I think we are having.a failure to communicate moment.
Are you talking about the bushings located in the steering stem or something in the fork legs themselves?
If so, what is the part number from this fiche.http://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/s...-fork-gs1000ec

Seems odd that a Suzuki dealer wouldn't have an idea on the part.

Compare that picture, which shows no fork bushing, with this from the 1980 GS1100E, which does: ( #19 called Slide Metal )

                http://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/s...b57/front-fork

One of the many improvements to come out about that time.

No the bushing does not show up in the front fork schematic, the part # for that guide sleeve was 51195-38010 but is discontinued. This guide sleeve is pressed in just below the oil seal. It is a coated split sleeve, and on mine the coding is gone and that is not good for the tube. 1979 GS1000E

                    Better act fast.
Being discontinued everywhere the price will only go up.

Oil Lock Piece, is NOT a fork bushing.

GS1100 4v have bushings and are the same diameter forks. Will these work? I have had 1100 forks apart but not GS1000"s

No, the 1000's forks have no place for bushings, you would have to do some serious machining to make it work with bushings.
