79' GS1000E, SS brake lines and pads?

I'm rebuilding the brake system on a friend's 79 E model and was wondering what is a good value in a set of 'black' SS brake lines for his bike? I would like the original 3 piece style for the front and would really prefer the kit that is pre assembled. Also, what are people using for pads on these? This guy is a bit of a hot-rodder and would probably sacrifice pad life for greater braking performance.

    Thanks, Pat

I bought lines from an Ebay seller named Rennsport Auto. Great lines at a great price. He sells Apex branded lines. I no longer see his store on Ebay but found this site: http://rennsportautoparts.com.
Regardless, I checked the Apex website and you can get custom lines from them for even cheaper than Rennsport.

I too have purchased from Rennsport. 100 per cent satisfied with the quality and the price.

Yup, Rennsport #1! Raymond is a stand up seller also, will get back pretty quickly if you have questions or issues.

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.
