Please help ID these Ohlins shocks

Can anyone identify these older Ohlins shocks? The only markings I can find on them are SU 2031. I've found little to nothing via Google. Seems like maybe these shocks were sold back in the late 70s, early 80s. Can't find anything technical on them. Are they worth using? Or rebuilding? They appear to be the right length for GS1100. These have been painted, but I could strip them...

    SU 142 Discontinued STX 36 Twin Suzuki 1981-1982 GS 1100 PC13P 328 00480-03

2031 is a reference catalog product # for these shocks.

Since discontinued. 328 is mm length. 00480-03 is the spring they would have come with.

Ohlins are quality shocks and are able to be rebuilt.

This just the thread I was gonna start...Ohlins shocks for my son's '82 GS1100e I just ordered Ohlins s36p with mod#su143 from Dynoman, they're on backorder right now. I've seen s36p and stx36p shocks on EBay from italian suppliers but I'm unsure about those for fear of counterfeit, or simply not getting the goods tho both suppliers have excellent EBay stats. Anyone buy from these Italian companies thru EBay??? They have hundreds of Ohlins shock listings. Anyone know how much diff between the s36p and stx36p? Any comments on Dynoman as a supplier? I'm hoping this backorder isn't gonna string me along, tho they've offered to refund my payment.

The bottom mounts look different from what are pictured on newer Ohlins clevis mounts, probably older units. I've got some new units on order that look similar. See my other post...

Thanks Nic! Where on the spring might I find the part number? Looks like these will work on my '82 GS1100E. Can anyone recommend a respected shop that can rebuild these?

Thanks for all the help guys. Going to try them as is since they're not leaking. If they're worn out, I'll see about getting them rebuilt.
