Sonic spring rate
Hello , I have a 1985 gs1100g without the air valves on the front forks and I am about to order some fork springs . What spring rates are people running successfully , also noticed the gs1100 gk and gs 1100 have different part numbers are they different length springs? Thanks for any help , great information on here , lots to learnTags: None

The difference between the part numbers may just be the length of the springs, as is the case with the 850's. My springs came with a length of some sort of thick walled plastic pipe to cut the appropriate length spacer for the '83 850G forks. Honestly, I was surprised at how quick the springs showed up. I ordered on Monday and they arrived on Wednesday of the same week, but I'm here in the US.
Rich Desmond sold the company a short while back, BTW.

1.0kg/mm springs work well for most people, but if you’re a really big guy and/or are aggressive in the twisties then the 1.1s may be better for you.
As mentioned, I sold the company a little while ago, but the new owner is a good guy and very knowledgeable. You can contact him through the Sonic Springs web page.'20 Ducati Multistrada 1260S, '93 Ducati 750SS, '01 SV650S, '07 DL650, '01 DR-Z400S, '80 GS1000S, '85 RZ350
