What spring rates are people running successfully , also noticed the gs1100 gk and gs 1100 have different part numbers are they different length springs? Thanks for any help , great information on here , lots to learn

The difference between the part numbers may just be the length of the springs, as is the case with the 850's. My springs came with a length of some sort of thick walled plastic pipe to cut the appropriate length spacer for the '83 850G forks. Honestly, I was surprised at how quick the springs showed up. I ordered on Monday and they arrived on Wednesday of the same week, but I'm here in the US.

Rich Desmond sold the company a short while back, BTW.

The GK has bigger forks, and takes a bigger diameter spring.
1.0kg/mm springs work well for most people, but if you’re a really big guy and/or are aggressive in the twisties then the 1.1s may be better for you.

As mentioned, I sold the company a little while ago, but the new owner is a good guy and very knowledgeable. You can contact him through the Sonic Springs web page.
