Please Help with Brake Caliper Identification

When I bought my 79 GS850G the PO gave me a box of extra parts. There's one rear brake caliper and one front brake caliper. I'm wondering if they're from a 79 850 or later year. I'm wondering if one or more of you fine GS lovin folks can help me identify them.

REAR - The only difference I can see with this one is that it's stamped with an X8 in the rear of the caliper vs. the stock caliper on my 79 is stamped with a K6.

The front is the round puck type which was superseded in 1980. The rear caliper fit many years, including into the 1980's. You can look up this sort of info on partzilla. Their listings show where used.

Ok, I thought the front looked just like the ones on my 79. Great, thanks for the heads up on the parts site Ed.
