Please help me with Rear Shock options

    Hey Guys,

I am looking at several different options for rear shocks, I am fairly new to the GS world and have recently purchased a 78 GS1000. I have ridden sportbikes for about 15 years and I am looking forward to building this beast up. Have any of you ever used Kawasaki ZRX 1200 shocks as a conversion option. I am looking for aftermarket shocks that have the piggyback res, and I would appreciate any options that you all have used with success that are budget friendly. I have researched the cheap ebay options and the TEC and JBS options so far and would appreciate any feedback!

    Thanks Guys!

No knowledge on the ZRX shocks but they certainly look good.
Have a look at this thread about non reservoir shocks. https://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...ighlight=hagon

If you firm on getting piggyback shocks i have read several positive reviews about cheap RFY shocks after a refurb from CL Moto. http://chrislivengood.net/wp/

Thanks Steve! I just looked into the CL moto stuff, would love to hear someones experience using them after Chris has done his work. I wouldn't say I am firm on having a piggyback, I just want a good shock that will do well with riding the twisties and be a definite upgrade over stock with a half inch or inch increase.
