Hagon Road Shock Fitting for '77 GS550

I'm fixing up a 1977 GS550 I picked up last month. Just installed new Sonic Springs and want to replace the rear shocks. I have Hagons on my GS750 and want to do the same but can't buy direct from Hagon after they closed their US operations a couple of years ago (or I could, but I'd rather not). On their website, this is what they tell me to buy when I put the bike in:

They say it's a direct replacement for a few bikes: Kawasaki 305 and XS650 included. Clearly, a set of shocks that works well on a Kawasaki 305 won't be the same for the XS650, assuming the same rider - the XS650 is 100lbs more. I called and asked for the spring rate and apparently they stock the 175-200 springs.

Does anybody know if these shocks will be appropriate for the GS550? I'm ~175lbs.

On another note, I'm looking for tires for the GS550 and the GS750. Hoping to get something a step up from the Dunlop K70's I've been using but that still look ~fairly vintage-styled.

Shocks: Z1 Enterprises is now carrying Hagon shocks. Not sure what spring rates they are, but they have always been very helpful if you take the time to call them on the phone.

Tires: Do you want a "look" or do you want something that works? Depending on the "look" you are after, you can check the Shinko 230 Tour Master or the Shinko 712. Both of those are also rather inexpensive, but also happen to work very well.

I called DCC yesterday and they said the springs were "175-200" I couldn't find any spring rates for the GS550 on Hagon's website so don't know what to compare that to. I assume that if I call Z1 it will go to the same line to get information about parts, as they're basically the same company.

I ended up going with the IRC GS-11's for the GS550 (more of an around town bike) and Pirelli Sport Demons for the GS750 (longer + faster riding) excited get 'em on.

They're 10mm over stock height. If they sit strange with the GS550 I'll put them on my 450 which already has an oversized (and overly stiff) pair of Hagon's from a triumph thruxton and then get the 330mm ones for the GS550. Will get back with pictures, etc. when I get 'em
