A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Pic of the week game

Oh good that showed up, or did anyway. I can't see where I introduced the theme and mentioned the assemblage art. I edited that post to phrase things differently and was in a rush to get out the door.

    Front End Conversion

Here's the surprisingly specific Google AI answer. Jeez, what will they think of next? "recently acquired a complete 1994 GSXR 750 front end, forks, triple trees, wheel and brakes. Sitting next to the front end is a 1981 Suzuki GS1100e. Will this be a good match with trail "-rake" and overall...

This assemblage art piece is in the downtown area. You can't tell from a distance, but walking up to it you ralize it's thousands of spark plugs. Assembly This is wide open for interpretation, so have fun with it.

Awesome! What a treat, thanks guys! I wonder how many people abroad have heard of this particular assembly of balloons, as there are many around the world. Most photographed event could mean something like a thousand people take 20k pics each or 20mil people take one pic each. Probably somewhere...

what did you wrench on today??

Hope you have a decently cooled workplace for you this weekend. At least you'll be able to lay those HD tires in the sun to soften them up for you. Had another thought about possible air leak sources. Do you have good crush washers or O-rings on the carb sync port screws? If I'm not mistaken...

Voting for 650 Skull. It's great when a pic can convey the theme when possible. Personally, I think themes like low light or panorama etc. are better for that concept. Famous stuff is rather difficult to pinpoint a town or city without a description, mine included. Bugs Bunny was my first...

what did you wrench on today??

The holders definitely can cause leaks. Trying to find the air leaks on mine was maddening. The rubber looked like it was still bonded to the steel base, but air was getting through. The airbox side hoses/ holders shrink and harden up, so they'll leak too. Tried spraying stuff all around them...

I had never heard of the cassowary. I'd shyte myself coming around a corner and seeing a six foot tall bird in my lane.

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta happens every october. It's been said that this is the most photographed event in the world. If you're anywhere near here in the first week of October, I highly recommend checking it out. Hundreds of balloons just floating overhead, depending on the...

    Rear rotor for '79 GS850G

The minimum thickness should be stamped on it and or written in the manual. I think it's 6mm I have one, will dig it out and measure it to be sure it's ok. I sent a set to https://truedisk.net/ They did a fantastic job machining my rotors.

Old GSR items I came across

I found the PM thread with a guy that printed some of those stickers. @zerospirit was his username. He's showing up as guest now, but I still have an email address, for what it's worth.

How strict was school back in the day?

Alamagordo, New Mexico, third grade, 1981 was far more strict than today's schools. Smacking another kid with a metal lunchbox got me sent to the principle's office and three whacks with the paddle. Also, suspended for the rest of the week and three more lashes with the belt at home. Lesson...
