I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Because the pipes freeze and burst... has happened to multiple houses on our street. So we shut off our outdoor spigots when it gets cold overnight. Shutoff is down in the crawlspace... not an easy thing to turn on and off. I think washing each time is the way to go!

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

So, what do you winter riders do with the salt on the road? I have been itching for a ride, and we have had some nice weather on the Westcoast here (Vancouver) BUT there is brine and salt on the roads. And no rain for weeks to wash it away. And of course, the house water is off... so what are...

new bikes, your opinion on current engine configuration trends

Depends on the parallel twin too. Super Tenere.... yawn... my Scrambler 1200... awesome... the Yamaha 700 p twins... interesting... the Kawi 650 twins... good motor, but lacking in that character. Lots of test rides needed :)

    What Reg Rec To buy?

Now that I know that the original was a 5 wire setup, I should be able to just re wire back to the stock config. We shall see how that goes. Waiting on a gasket for the cover... in the mail. Still have an oil leak at the case seam that is driving me nuts.... lol

6 wires. Just the angle. All are accounted for except this orange/orange black. I wonder if I can just split off the red power wire, and power the circuit that way.... Obviously it has been messed with in the past!

    What Reg Rec To buy?

Ok, so I have done some thinking. Pics below are of the RR. I have a feeling this is an old replacement. As you can see, it has a orange black, that goes to an orange wire. So what I need to figure out, is what that orange wire needs to do now with the new RR. Fun Fun. Any thoughts are helpful.

    What Reg Rec To buy?

Lets make this easier with photos. I am removing the OEM original reg rec. I can account for the stator wires, no problem. I can account for the red power wire, and the black and white ground. No problem. Now you are left with a orange and black wire out of the old reg rec, that connects to a...

    What Reg Rec To buy?

Right, so I can account for all the other wires... I have a diagram I can see that, but the new reg rec does not have a connection for the orange black. So what do people do with this to close the loop?

    What Reg Rec To buy?

Question about this.... WHat do you do with the other wires... I have 3 yellows... no problem.. there is also a black white, red and an orange that went into another molex connector that leads to the harness. I get the red connection, what about the other two?
