A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Windscreen/fairing question

Yes, the original post:it's a Maier & I think the entire fairing is pt. #61-148. I see in one of the adds a replacement shield is pt.#00611 I have one on my bike and it comes for either round or square headlight;GPz copy. These shields are available online.

    Rear tire size - 1982 GS450T

The solution to find the exact size 110/90x17 which member Nessism mentioned with an IRC Duro-Tour RS-310(it is available !)or another brand may be possible, but certainly is aLot of work and time-consuming on the computer. The use of the same size tires, will yield you the best handling bike. I...

    Rear tire size - 1982 GS450T

I had a 1982 GS450TXZ with spoke wheels;I also Could Not find a 110/90x17.. looked everywhere. I bought the bike with a Chen Shin 120/90x17 and it was bad,so had to change it. I decided to replace my back wheel with an 18" rear wheel from a GT250. I researched it and found the hub is the same...

    GS450 to 500 swap questions

Well,at least you know. I use the GS500E thin steel OEM Suzuki base gasket and headgasket. I plan to complete my project as soon as the custom pistons are finished. I like my classic 81' GS450E and it's going to get it's improvements.

    GS450 to 500 swap questions

I also have a GS450 which I want to swap-in larger pistons(75mm custom pistons)and use the GS500E cylinders. I will be making my order for a pair of custom pistons in a few days, and JE Pistons comes highly recommended. The way I will get the pistons made: I will get custom pistons of 75mm with...

I was "that guy" again today.........

I have tubeless on my 83' GS750ES,which I like best. I have tube-type on the factory aluminum wheels on my 81' GS450EX,and carrying a spare 18" tube & a pr. of small Motion Pro tire levers is a good idea(the same 18" tube will work on front or rear),even though I haven't had a tube go bad on me...

    GS Rectifier/Regulator replace

    Fairing?

Same here. I had a fairing just like that, but made from fiberglass on a 350 I had in the 70's. I have a Vetter Quicksilver w/ the tall screen on my GS450E now.

    A possibly perforated pretcock

Hi jharvey, you may have a very low voltage in your battery which will cause the ignition to cut-out;when you install the new battery next season, test the charging rate and check to see if the regulator/rectifier is not Over-charging. I have a similar problem finding the OEM Suzuki 'fuel cock'...

    Modification for Taller Ride Height?

I installed a set of Race-Tech straight-rate front fork springs of .85KG and they keep the stock front forks topped-up on my GS,which raises the ride height quite nicely. I'm only 6'1" and 225lbs. and depending on your weight, you might decide on Race-Tech 1KG front springs. The next thing I want...

    GS400/500 Gr650 Hybrid engine

I haven't started a thread. I see now that I should;during the process of getting the $ to have the machinist do the cylinders(pistons first) & head, get the pistons made, and the $ to get a pair of mild Mega-cycle camshafts($600+),the ones that are good for stock pistons and valve springs. My...
