A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    No Turn Over, Ignition Weirdness

Just got on the forum after a pause. You were correct, it was the battery. I put the bike away for the winter last November and put a new battery in it last spring. Works like a champ! :onthego:

    No Turn Over, Ignition Weirdness

'82 GS850. Battery checks out at 12 volts now, had just came off of a battery tender before I started messing with it. Turn key, dash lights and headlight come on. Hit starter button, hear loud CLICK and lights go out. The only way to get them to come back on is to turn the key to a lock...

    Water Drain

I get a buildup up water on top of the tranny underneath the carbs when I wash the bike that takes forever to drain. I seem to have forgotten where the drain is. :redface-new: Does it go into the starter housing and drain from there? Will I be able to unplug it without removing the carbs or...

    Starter Motor Compatibility

The starter in my '82 GS1100E crapped out so I rummaged through my parts collection and found one that was marked "GS750". I don't remember if there was a year marked, but I put it in and it's working great. That was YEARS ago I put it in. Doesn't answer your question, but somehow I think...

Where to purchase close to original mirrors? 1981 GS650e

Have you tried the dealer? I bought some for my '82 GS1100E not more than 3 years ago from the dealer. They are OEM Suzuki too! :)

Should I Offer Carb O-ring Kits For Sale?

I'd like a set for my '78 GS750. If you won't send to Canada, I'm sure I can find a shipper with and American address. The last set I got from Robert had a "Global USA Forever 2014" stamp on it and they came in an envelope right to my door.

what did you wrench on today??

Okay, not exactly today, but a few days ago. I got my wife's '82 GS850 back on the road for spring/summer. It needed a new battery, ok, done. Put the new petcock in, (ordered from dealer), but realized I needed the PROPER bolts and washers after I had leakage. I managed to get the proper...
