    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Gradually gets harder to start

I have a massive problem I simply cannot fix.
It may be two.problems.
- the bike after a few runs gets harder and harder to start even though the battery is fine. Cleaning the starter motor sorted it last time but again it's now struggling. Last time I just cleaned it but if thought best I'll order a new brush kit.

The following after I had cleaned the starter motor a few weeks ago - this is happening.
- on a run it simply stopped electrically on a dual carriageway . Showed battery good voltage on my usb attached device but just stopped. Stopped vehicle and tried elec ignition and dead. Waited a bit wriggled a few wires and started again bar labouring a bit due to possible starter motor issue.
So now the bike is totally unreliable I cannot be sure when it will just stop dead.

I attach a picture of the ignition side of the motorbike and can someone tell me if the wiring looks right. I can't do electrics as poor colour vision.

I am very quick with any ideas or tests you want me to do and am armed with all electrical stuff to test.

Update :
Issue 1 (the hard to start)
This is the same as last time which when I cleaned the starter internals it worked fine. I didn't put on a new repair kit / brushes so I assume starter needs this.
(It is.not battery or solenoid or charging !!)
So I'll order a repair kit from ? Or do I just need the brushes from ?

Issue 2 bike cuts out electrically
Will while removing carbs again have a look at wiring bit think I have something wrong.
However bike just run perfectly for 7 miles and IV changed nothing
 
Classic Suzuki charging system failure.
Run the charging tests in the manual.
What output AC per alternator leg at test rpm 5000 iirc

Or test starter by directly connecting to battery with both removed from bike.

The aftermarket ignition is not comforting.
At 127 euros its not likely suited to space travel.
Your reliance on a Chinesium usb volt meter is sub optimal.
