A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Electrical mods - confirmed working

Yes. Amazing and very impressive. Good on you for holding on to it all these years. Is it an 11e? Blue or Red?

    Electrical mods - confirmed working

Interesting idea. Yes, for sure the coverage is not ideal with the LED, but intensity is vastly improved. I ended up doing the swap for better visibility for other drivers. I have nothing scientific to back it up, but the LED bulbs white hue seem to be much more visible during the day than the...

    Electrical mods - confirmed working

Hello all, I thought i would share some mods ive made on 83 11E. I will also share some pix as well. I will be sharing links in Amazon. Most of these modes were low cost, but there was some trial and error involved. Some may find this of value to know what has been tested and known good. 1)...

    Hello from San Diego

Ah.. Yes.. sorry for my misunderstanding. Yes, that thing on the side is an oil pressure gauge. It was on the bike when i bought it, so i cant take credit for that work. rphillips personally, its probably not something i would have gone out of my way to install, but i do like it. Im somewhat old...

    Hello from San Diego

Oh, BTW.. I was just looking at the pix i posted. Eagle-eyes spotted the oil cooler i forgot to mention (not my work tho). Also, i noticed that this pix still has the absolutely WORTHLESS Amazon shocks i had on there. To say these were "worthless" did not do justice to the word "worthless." If...

    Hello from San Diego

Rich and Rob.. re: Oil cooler. The bike came with that already installed. TBH, im considering removing it, but that would involve stealing the factory oil filter plate off the doner bike. Im planning on starting on the top/bottom rebuild of the doner bike in the new year. Lets just say it will...

    Hello from San Diego

Hello everyone, First off, let me apologize for only just getting around to posting a hello message. Ive been subscribed for well over 10 years. In addition, two 83 11E's have also been sitting in a corner of my garage for 10 years as well. Thanks to Covid, I finally transitioned one of them...

    Mixture screw

Christmas came early this year!!!! So i went back to the stock pilot jets on all carbs and 5 half turns on mixture screw then BAM!!! just like that. Smooth idle and ZERO hesitation on start. I really cannot believe that in 4 months of messing with this i never thought to put the stock jets back...

    Mixture screw

LOL!!! I am starting to agree. Yes, vacuum sync done (about a million times) Yes, valves adjusted. That was first thing I did 4 months ago. Also, checked for vacuum leaks with wd40 I’m going to try going down to stock 45 jet on the number 2 cylinder tomorrow and see what that does.
