A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    Carb rack screws

FYI, button heads have a shallower socket as compared to socket heads. As something your probably going to open and clean a few times in the bikes life you might want to go with socket head style.

    4 into 1 exhaust

Been thinking about ditching the exhaust (lack of) on my bike and going with a 4 into 1. Because of the alterations to the ride height I have made, I'd like to get one that tucks up fairly tight. If those who are running 4 into 1's could post a dimension from the bottom of the frame to the...

    Ignition wires

Thanks for the input. they are the car type. The connection to the plug from the plug (metal) is what i believe the problem, add to that the plugs location especially 2 & 3. just cant get down there easily. twisting helps. I lubed the inside of the boot with a little grease. it slides off the...

    Ignition wires

I believe i can pull the cover back exposing the clip/crimp, just tough to get in there with my fingers. I was thinking of adding a bit of lube to the porcelain to reduce the friction from the cover to plug.

I have a reoccurring issue with ignition wires.. When changing plugs or just inspecting them, I often break the connection from the wire to the crimp that snaps onto the spark plug forcing me to reattach.. Anyone else have this issue? -Mark

    vm26 Pilot fuel screw adjust

Excellent. Will be making a purchase this week, quite a price swing from various online outlets.

    What happened here?

it may not be a short, it could be a bad connection that builds up heat over time due to the increasing resistance. I have had stranded wire that corroded to the point where only 1/2 of the strands were carrying the current and yes, they got hot.
