When do you expect ev bikes to become practical road bikes.

Most definitely different it's hard to explain to someone who has never ridden a fast bike what it feels like. The feeling of being pinned to your seat in a fast car is also a thrill, a car enthusiast doesn't understand the difference until they've done both. Bikes are simpler, a more primitive...

When do you expect ev bikes to become practical road bikes.

Chinese EV manufacturer Nio will be producing it's "semi" solid state battery powered cars in the 2nd quarter of this year with a claimed 1000km-621mile range. That should silence critics in regards to ev range, I personally don't know of any ICEs that can match that. We need BYD and Nio to...

But we're old newer generations like my son don't have that attachment. I was never drawn to the noise of bikes I prefer quiet.

Pure EVs have an advantage that hydrogen cannot match, home charging. The convenience of charging from home where you could also have solar and in some locations wind turbine to supplement electrical charging. My brother has solar panels for his home/ev charging port, any surplus he has after...

Toyota along with the big four Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki have been sharing technology. Kawasaki will be testing a Hydrogen Ninja H2 HySE, Kawasaki has tentative plans for a commercial hydrogen powered sales by 2030. I don't see that happening here Hydrogen filling stations are a rare...

Yup, For those like my son-in-law he has the income that he can buy the newer evs and hybrids. I can afford it as well but I'm retired and cautious my income is fixed, I'm patient enough to wait until they work out the deficiencies and prices come down to rational levels for entry level evs.

I agree, even now I think anyone who buys a new $100k ICE pickup is crazy, or they have so much money it doesn't matter to them. If I needed to buy a vehicle I'd be looking for a good used truck, likely a Tundra/Tacoma, if a car Camry/Corolla or Accord/Civic. Something to carry me through the...

All fair comments 1-EV fire risk is not zero but it's apparently much better than ICE. I recall a Ford Pinto being rear ended in my home town, two kids trapped in the back seat didn't make it out, father stood by and watched. My Ford van also had a raging fire after it had been parked for...

I was surprised and impressed that a lifelong gearhead trucker has environmental concerns as his motivation, it's contrary to the stereotypical image of a trucker that I had. I think I've seen too many videos of truckers rolling coal.

it's relatable, Kawasaki has Ninja hybrid I expect it'll be on sale next year.

And the biggest factor of all there's not just billions riding on this conversion to green energy but trillions. Manufacturers have a profit incentive to make it work, whenever there's a profit to be made things get done, those manufacturers that fall behind lose.

But knowing it's history that the crankcase was full of water would you still be interested in buying it? I'd take a pass on that.

I wouldn't buy a used engine with unknown service record nor would I and a friend install it, nor do I know anyone that would. This would be attractive option to only small part of the population. If you have the time and expertise great for you:)

Same issues I've had with many of my ICE's...make that all ICE vehicles I've owned. At what point is it no longer worth spending thou$ands on repair for a vehicle that has no long term collector value. If I needed a new engine in my 08 Civic do I spend $8-10K (supply and install) on a car that...

That's what I use. I don't know if these tires will work for a Tesla with the extra weight, tire life could be affected.

Tires, my daughter's neighbour has a Tesla a rwd model he has difficulty getting up his driveway in winter. Rwd in winter is already problematic on icy surfaces having the correct winter tire helps deal with that. Would Tesla tires designed for extra weight be contributing to poor winter traction?

When do you expect ev bikes to become practical road bikes.

Is the price of a battery replacement any more expensive than a engine/transmission replacement? Tesla is claiming 400K mile battery life. One Chinese battery producer claims it's designing/building a battery with a million mile range, if true $20k battery would be great value, I'm not sure...

When do you expect ev bikes to become practical road bikes.

You're just focused on the headline and not the substance of the survey. Price is still a major deterrent as manufacturers following Tesla's lead are offering high end EVs first. Consumers are willing to buy but the price ,technology and convenience hasn't reached a point to where they'll buy...

Climate change is a slow disaster it's imperceptible in our daily lives you have to look at it over a span of decades to grasp what is happening. Because of that day to day problems take precedent for people who are worried putting food on the table, paying utilities, rent, mortgage, insurance...

Imagine the world as the largest ship and you want to come to dead stop and then make a 180 turn. It takes time turn around the entire global economy and the way we do things, it can't be done overnight, it may take decades. I'm not sure we have decades.
