A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Gs650 tear down

Vesrah has not received many positive reviews, especially when investigating for the 650, specifically. On the positive side of not having the full kit available, you can order just what you need, and not have a selection of gaskets sitting around unused. I have a box full of gaskets, most of...

    Shade tree body shop

That's a great transformation. Love it! Nicely done.

    Weak spark

I don't have anything to add except some encouragement. You're getting lots of great advice from OldVet66 and others. I know it is hard to focus when you get frustrated, and vice versa, but you have to take a step back sometimes and make sure you are following a structured approach to...

    Stolen Bike in Baltimore

*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$*@%^$ty story. Drugs and desperation drive a lot of stupidity. Glad you have her back. I'd say clean her up an dget her going, but then she's going be a target again. Ha, smalltimore...that sounds so en pointe

    Katana Restomod Finished

I love what you have done with it (and I am a purist by nature :))

Old dog here, but I totally agree.

    Pic of the week game

Motorcycling and panos go hand in hand. So many nice pictures this week. I'm left jealous as I haven't been riding at all this year. I'm a big fan of Waterton Park. There was a huge fire that ripped through there two years ago, and it is nice to see some of it from a perspective that makes it...

Parts dealer says 1981 suzuki gs400 parts discontinued

Definitely an L. There was one of those being piloted by someone who works at my local golf club. Haven't seen it in awhile, however.

    Engine test stand

I'm not sure what you are asking about the fuel supply. There is no electrical pump requiring power, Did you mean fuel gauge? Are you planning on riding at night?

    1982 GS650G oversize pistons

Somewhere on here is a long, on-going thread of oversized conversions...might be something in here worth reading https://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?237720-Potential-Group-Purchase-Wiseco-GS650-741cc-pistons

    GS Cargo Carriers

That must have received some attention from law enforcement.

    Pic of the week game

It's almost unfair as that TU250x is one of the most photogenic bikes around, and the composition and lighting take it over the top.+1 for Jedz. honourable mention to marvinsc

Back in the classic saddle baby

    That's a shame, Rob. You've got this!

    Shade tree body shop

That looks idyllic...last week I'd break into a sweat just looking at my garage

    Pic of the week game

gustov's water bottle shot definitely grabs my attention, but there is something about the lines and colour in Jedz's that gets my vote.

Anyone know of a high quality vacuum petcock?

I was having similar thoughts...some of the aftermarket gaskets are cut a little large

    Craigslist "funnies"

Properly funny comment. A very good reason for a "like" button.

    Pic of the week game

Being a sucker for B&W photography and 2 strokes, Jedz gets my nod. Funny how the new bike almost looks to be the older of the two motos, until one sees the LED light

    Craigslist "funnies"

Seen on CL today: asking price is $4500 CDN At that price, I'd expect none of the floats to be sticking: Gs750 tank, 1976 wheels, custom seat and clipon handle bars. New chain and sprockets, rebuilt harness and cleaned carbs, rebuilt brakes, integrated tail light, aftermarket foot levers...

Does the GS discussion forum .... include the Suzuki GR650 twin bike ... or where?

The rack shown in the video is clearly made by KG, but looks to be a bit cobbled together onto some home-built mount. There were aftermarket racks that fit: https://www.motorcycleclassics.com/mc-dispatch/1983-suzuki-tempter-gr650-x which seems to be similar to, if not the same as the one...
