A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Suzuki GS1000e/s/gs1100/gsx1100 project...

Hi John, I used CBR900 disks from eBay. If you look on the twinpot-brake-upgrade-on-78-skunk thread all the parts you need are listed on the 1st page.

    Suzuki GS1000e/s/gs1100/gsx1100 project...

One of the benefits of owning and maintaining our old bikes is you tend to know all the little noises the engine makes. On idle there has been a ticking noise that had started to get louder, not to the point it was a loud metallic noise but enough to hear it with my helmet on, raise the revs off...

1st Ever Track Day @ 55yrs and 345 days old.

I though that an update on my track day activities was required. I have now done 8 track days and they are just the best time a person can spend clad in leather. The days are run by the Bike Shed Moto co and are aimed at those of us who would not normally do a track day. The pictures below show...

    Isle of Man TT

There is a free to subscribe service in the UK called ITV Hub https://www.itv.com/hub/itv4 they have been showing TT roundup shows all week but I'm not sure if it will work for the rest of the world, technically it should. Give it a go and if I can help I will.

    Suzuki GS1000e/s/gs1100/gsx1100 project...

Update time. One of the biggest challenges with our bikes after the motor has been modified is making sure the air fuel ratio (AFR) is correct. One option and possibly the most popular is dyno time which no matter which country you are in is expensive so I am looking at an alternative for my...

    intermittent ticking?

I had a similar ticking that would go away if I picked up the revs even just a little, I was convinced it was a top end noise to the point I removed the cam cover and checked the valve clearances, they were all spot on by the way.. As I started the bike it kicked back and the ticking was worse...

    Suzuki GS1000e/s/gs1100/gsx1100 project...

Thanks Glen, I would rather say it how it is than miss lead folks into a conversion that was not a real benefit to the bike or person riding it. My bike is ready to ride all year which mean road tax, MOT and insurance must be done but that means if I wish to throw my leg over the bike I can. ...

    Lithium battery questions

I have a LI-ION battery and a SH775 conversion on my GS1000. This is the link to the battery I purchased https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292846700221?hash=item442f0606bd:g:-SgAAOSw7thcB7Nk Have a look at the specs more for the diamentions and CCA than the cost or location of seller. The main...

    Replacement Gas Tank Options

Also, the GSX-ET as called in the UK and I believe it's GS1100 in the US also fit, I have 2 GS1000's one of which is a 1000c with wire wheels and the GSX tank fits no problem. The only thing you will need to watch is the mountings on the rear of the tank, some are single mounting and some are...

Hey Mel, Thanks for your comments as the bike has been an ongoing project for nearly 10 years. I know Dunlop have stopped making the Sportmax Alpha13's and they have been replaced by Alpha14's, I know they are available in the UK and Europe but I would be suprised if they are not available in...
