A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    For the dedicated gearheads,

I had a speed shop work on my 305. Hearst 4 speed, free flow air cleaner, toss the catalytic converter, advance the timing and WOW! Big difference!

    For the dedicated gearheads,

The Z/28 302 and the Corvette 327 (365hp) - my favorite Chevy engines. When I bought my Z/28 in 1982 it was rated at 145 hp - the same as the Yamaha V-Max!

Looking for a Handlebar and Seat for an '80 GS1100E

I think I see the front of the gas tank in the garbage pail. Suzuki was all about cost compared to Kawasaki.

Looking for a Handlebar and Seat for an '80 GS1100E

Weren't the 82 and 83 even cheaper decals? No two-tone, no three-tone, just spray everything one color, slap a decal on each side cover and each side of the tank, and we're done. I can't get over how much better my '73 Kawasaki Z1 looked compared to my 83 red 82 11E. Even the black on the...

Looking for a Handlebar and Seat for an '80 GS1100E

From the appearance of your right side cover, I would have guessed you were in some foreign country (if not a different planet). I have never seen that paint scheme. Do you know when she was built? Some of us are under the impression that the 16 valve 1100 didn't come along until 1981. Do you...

    For the dedicated gearheads,

The death of the V-8 has been prematurely reported before. I think it was 1981 when a front page article in the Wall Street Journal told about a NASCAR driver who was hoarding V-8 engine blocks in his garage. "Pretty soon," he said, "we won't be able to find them anywhere." The next year, I...

    For the dedicated gearheads,

Looks great! What about the revs, hp & torque #s and that not unimportant number, cost? Looks (sounds) like it could power a pretty nifty toy car. Just not as fast or powerful as electric. I hate electric vehicles!

Agreed. She looks like she was born to be on the back of a Sportster. Wow!

'Kitty' magnet. This 38 year old Scandinavian woman rode the back of ny rented Iron 883 for 2 two weeks in the Caribbean in 2016. As Trevor says, if you ride a motorcycle and can't get laid, you're just too damn lazy. Kitty Magnet is the theme.

    Rear rotor for '79 GS850G

Keep it under a buck! Better yet, don't ride it at all till you install a new tire.
