A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Welcome aboard. Nice looking bike. I also like the black rims.

    Test rode a 2003 Honda ST1300 tonight

I take it you own one. ;-) What really turned me off on it was the fact that, even with aftermarket bar risers, it was still more of a forward lean, putting weight on my arthritic hands, than my FZ1 has. And, it had a Corbin seat which felt like sitting on a brick.

    Test rode a 2003 Honda ST1300 tonight

It was a bit benign and uninspiring to ride.

    Test rode a 2003 Honda ST1300 tonight

I saw it on craigslist and have always liked the looks of them so I decided to see if I could get a test ride. I told the gentleman I was somewhat interested and asked if I could give it a ride and he kindly obliged. So, now that question mark is gone. Nope, I would not want one. It's very...

    Hello from Indianapolis IN

Welcome to the site. Nice work on all those bikes. The black GS1100 looks fantastic. If you run into an oil burning issue with the Bandit, it is a common problem with that era of Bandits. I had an '01 that burned oil. Replacing the pistons with those from the earlier variety will fix the problem.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Note to self: Try to plan your evening rides so you're riding back east when going home. The sun in my eyes is torment.

Took the wifey out for a couple hour jaunt the other evening, stopping at Young's Jersey Dairy for some icecream.

    Howdy from Texas

Those fried wires are most likely the result of bad/dirty connections not allowing the current to flow through and building up in the wire. Get every single electrical connection on the bike either cleaned or replaced with spade type connectors. Don't forget inside the headlight bucket.

    Hello to everybody

Seems to me you guys are being a bit difficult with Lou here. Just my opinion. If you don't like the posts he's made, ignore them. Doesn't seem like he's here to cause trouble. Welcome Lou and I hope you build on your riding experience responsibly and get you 750 in good working order.

The GSR: The last of the great forums?

Ask a question here, and sooner or later you'll get an answer or two or three or more, and always helpful. I also belong to an FZ1 forum and it has sadly declined. The last few times I've asked a question over there, it's viewed by several people but only one person has answered in the last...

    Woes of selling things...

You're selling them because you don't want to have to deal with them right? rebuilding the starter is sort of dealing with it, no? I'd say no on rebuilding the starter for them. Just let 'em make an offer as they sit and decide if you'll take it.

    Greetings everyone

Welcome. Looks like the bike is in fairly good aesthetic shape. Make sure to go through all the electrical connections either cleaning or replacing them. Don't forget the ones inside the lunch box. Change all fluids and don't run on ancient tires even though they may look like good tread. Old...

Ditto on Uship. Used them twice. On time and no damage both times. Reasonable prices.

    Thanks so much, and alas...Good-Bye

Yeah, no need to leave. I haven't owned a GS in a while but it's fun to drop in and see what folks are up to and talk motorcycles.
