A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    GS1100ES Revs rising

4000 rpm ??? i'd start with the easy checks : see if the idle screw has any effect, check air/fuel screws and fuel height. No leaks in the vacuum hose between tank and carbs ? No leakage due to sticky floats ? Check all 4 spark plugs.

    Bike stalls after 5 minutes

i have installed an electronic fuel valve on several bikes ao my Kawa GTR1000, which has no overflow tubes and is known for hydrolock. Around 15$ off Aliexpress, hooked it up to a switched 12v ... Bob's your uncle. They are not very big and my buddy mounted one on his GT750 as precaution. Won't...

    Turn signal switch rebuild help

i recently disabled the 'auto' functions on a 1979 GS1000S. The system works with a sensor inside the tacho ; 2 wires from tacho to TSCU unit tell the TSCU the bike is rolling. So by disconnecting the 2 wires from the tacho, the TSCU thinks the bike is stationary. As long as the bike is...

1982 GS750T - fitting tachometer drive gear... Did I screw up?

i had the same issue on a GS1000, new imitation tacho unit. Tried to stick the whole unit in and failed just where yours is at. Made me wonder just where the issue was. So first i took out the worm wheel and could wiggle that in. Next i took off the o-ring and could slide the housing in easy...

    Identifying Carb Off Etched Number

OEM nr. for all 4 carb bodies ends with 34300. I'd say the 0183 is the mfg date. 34300 means BS32SS carbs.

    some kind of short

click click spin is usually cheaper to solve than bump bump spin  Unplug the green/yellow from the solenoid and measure voltage on the female connector on the harness when you press start. Too low and the solenoid will have issues. With ignition off : take the green/yellow wire of the...

    Post GS750 > 844 Build Plug Fowling

Got a timing light ? Sometimes issues can be observed by irregular strobe flashes. ( compare #3 to the other cylinders ) Valve stem seals *can* be replaced without taking the head off. It's fiddly, but i have done it in the past. Did you change over the float from #3 also, or re-checked fuel...

    hub cover?

What protects that bearing, besides being sealed, is this part.

    hub cover?

The spoke wheel hub was made to accomodate 2 discs, as was the mag wheel. Both used sealed bearings. Suzuki had some setups with 1 disc, both on the spoke wheel and the mag wheel. On the twin disc setup that bearing is not protected by a plastic cover. My take on this, the sealed bearings are...
