A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    R.I.P. Ozzy

The first concert I went to when I was 16 was White Zombie in Bismarck, ND in April of 1995. With The Ramones, The Supersuckers, and The Toadies. I remember there being protestors there! AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden and the likes were all "Devil's Music". The bible thumpers just weren't very...

I do really like Dorkburger's entry. Nice clean photo with great contrasting colors. But I also gotta cast my vote for Redman. That is the most inappropriate place for a motorcycle (especially a GK) out of these entries for sure.

It does have a wire holder for the clutch cable up at the valve cover that seems to hold it out of the way.

Here's some videos I found on alternative methods... As I mentioned before using nitric acid. I'm not sure I would try it myself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjdBvtOgqCU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DMYmAA8Bxs And an elaborate way to use heat and air pressure. If you can rig this up...

Rob - I had put in a little too much oil, and didn't have a pump handy. It did work to get it back to the correct level, draining out of the fill hole into that coffee can. I don't think I would ever try to remove an engine by myself! I have seen a video of a guy and his two kids trying to get...

GS550 with Mikuni Dual Throat Carb, No Info

I think your issue started with crud in the threads. That's why I had such an issue with my pilot mixture screws on my GS850G. They had never been taken out and there was a white buildup above the screw in the threads. Thought I had cleaned it up enough to get it out, but was wrong. Different...

    Carb choke rail lever needed...

Agreed on Part 80. The way I have it now without Part 83 installed could allow the choke cable to fall out of the notch on the last lever. The PO actually cut off the curved part the choke cable runs through by the throttle cable mount, "shortened" the outer choke cable sleeve, squished a rivet...

    Carb choke rail lever needed...

I saw that last night... Linked to some old posts on here, but I got what you meant. Nessism - Thanks for the links. I did find some other choke rail assemblies on eBay that were about the same cost. But was hoping to not spend $30 for that little piece! Anybody have some parts laying around??
