    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Rip off or not?

Shout out to Powersports of America in Paducah Kentucky for doing the right thing! The Service Manager confirmed that I was overcharged for Labor and I have been refunded $123.40.

    Rip off or not?

UPDATE: Got a call from my friend Rick who gave me a cell# for the Service Manager at the Dealership. I called him and he said a mistake was made on the labor charges and he said I was owed an apology and he is refunding my Card $123.50. THAT is about what thought was fair for the repair. They...

    Rip off or not?

As I told my buddy Rick who is way more upset about it than me, this is a first world problem. I had the means to pay and will survive. As flat tires on the road go, there are much worse places it could happen.

    Rip off or not?

Pretty sure the Dealer was a bit ashamed, the posted labor rate is $149 per hour but they reduced it to $99. In any event they have made their last dime from me.

    Rip off or not?

Myself and 3 others were on a ride yesterday, we took back roads to Paducah Kentucky with our destination being Metropolis Illinois across the Ohio River from Paducah. As we reached Paducah my bike developed a familiar wobble. We were less than a mile from a multi brand bike shop so I limped in...

Thoughts about the website in general

Adam passed going on 2 years ago now, it was a shock to all of us. He was a part of a lot of hijinks at rides and rallies over the years.

Thoughts about the website in general

To clarify, The GS Resources Facebook page was started many years ago by the late Adam Reinke as a place for GSers to communicate when the GSR site was down for whatever reason. As years have passed and FB algorithms have morphed the page has gone international. We generally try to steer people...

Save the Date: 2026 Brown County Indiana Rally - June 11-14, 2026

To quote my old Buddy Jeff when asked if there was ever any trouble at our rallys "We are about as intimidating as a middle school marching band".

Thoughts about the website in general

I think opening the site up to non GS bikes is a great idea for all the reasons you stated plus this. I came here after buying my old 1980 GS850G but stay around because through this site and on rides and get togethers I have met some of the BEST people I know.
