    GS1100E performance

Get some real jets like Mikuni 140's then come back and post the speeding ticket for 140 mph plus :twistedevil: The best mod I ever did was to get rid of the dyno jets and needle's cause they will have you chasing your tail trying to fix a lean condition. Stick with Mikuni jets, go big for big...

    drag bike ?

I converted from a belt to a chain on my Sportster. With the rear wheel off the ground and using belt drive if I spin the wheel by hand it couldn't complete one full turn because of the drag. Now with a chain drive the wheel spun 5 times before stopping.

    Oversized valves for GS1100

You should be looking for a 88-89 750 GSXR or a 90's era 750 Katana. I bet that 87 head is a small valve head and that's not what you want. Just make sure it has the casting Dot on the side before you buy.

    Oversized valves for GS1100

There's a casting DOT on the side of the 750 head that you want to use !!! Few things you'll need to do 1150 studs or just replace the short GS studs with longer GS ones and thicker washers and open head nuts two 28mm brass plugs for the oil return ports O-rings around the 1&3 studs and...

    Oversized valves for GS1100

I've been running a stock 1990 Katana 750 DOT head for years. All those heads produced had to go some where after 1989. Found it on Ebay for 50 bucks and after alittle hand massage to my 13-1 pistons it runs like a champ. Never had a problem with it overheating at the track cause I'll make 20...

    GS1100 dragbike carb probs

138 DJ's are like running 128 mikuni jet's, heck my 1166 with 34 carbs needed at least 160 mikuni jets. Best thing I did was to get rid of my DJ kit cause it was just too lean with my V&H pipe

Best way to lower the CR?

How far do you want to drop the compression ? If just alittle you can retard the intake cam causing a later valve closing resulting in lower compression. That's what I do on my Katana Dot head with 13-1 pistons, I can advance it to around .040 V/P clearance and get 265 psi or retard the intake...

    GSXR Head Install

I've always ran a 160 mikuni jet in my 34 oem carbs and 38mm cv carbs, anything smaller I could feel the bike nose over.

    GSXR Head Install

I figure I'd give my 2 cents until Ray got back :) I have 1166, 13-1 Wiseco pistons and cranking compression around 220 PSI. For me that's around 60 thousand V-P clearance. Add just a small 36 shot of nitrous and you better hold on cause she'll haul my 250 lb butt down the 1/8 at 124 mph.

    GSXR Head Install

Dot head on a GS Dot head on a GS Here's the biggies I'm using 13-1 pistons and had to mill the sides of the dome's to fit the small Dot head 20cc or is it 22cc ??? chamber. I can set the cranking compression as high as 265 psi or back it down close to 200 just by degreeing the intake cam...

I just Bought a Nitrous Kit

It's not the HP but the Torque your going to love, she'll pull like a train. Make sure your pointed straight before hitting the button and maybe a few spare tire's too.

    1100 ES going 1428

Awesome !! Those GSXR heads with a few easy mods really wake up the GS motor. Have you done a compression test yet?
  14. RacingJake

How fast is is your old GS?

Try a 14 tooth counter sprocket, that will wake it up. I'm running a 14T on my 78 GS550 and she run over 115 riding 2 up.

    Katana wheel swap - WTH?

Dang that sprocket in the next zip code. I put a 90's gsxr 5.5 rim on mine and the sprocket is 1 inch from the outside of the rim. That's going to be a PITA to get it to work then may be a weak area after all the cutting ?? I'd find another wheel with a 6 pad cush drive that way you can use...

    Top end oilers Reasons Why

Here a few with a few mod's along the way too. It may be ugly but it sure can move my 250 lb butt down the road!

    Top end oilers Reasons Why

    Maybe cool points ??

    Top end oilers Reasons Why

Well my studs don't stay center in the holes  plus if they walk over to one side of the hole, like maybe when being torqued down that could cause a problem but you'll never know ?? Here's one of my studs blocking the oil passage in my 750 head. Not much space in there so why take a chance...
  19. RacingJake

    Top end oilers Reasons Why

Good reason's too, but if you use bigger studs they will reduce the flow of oil to the head too, thus a top end oiler is the only way to go.

I only got these two left due to a computer crash. Used an old handle bar and welded it to the back as a seat stop. Kept busting my ass on it due to a bump at the finishline. [IMG] So I cut if off and welded it at an angle and I really like it. The fender is just the oem plastic inner fender...
