A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Can you offer up a pic of your carb? Hard to find decent pics on eBay . The petcock has feed line to middle of carb rack setup. 82 GS750E carb questions

2/. When engine is running, there is vacuum at petcock…, in petcock’s “on” or “rs” spot, this allows fuel to flow. 3/. this carb setup was designed to run with factory filter/air box setup..engine will start and idle without this setup, but it will behave poorly as revs go up…..it won’t be...

1980 Suzuki GS450S - Identifying the idle mixture screw

Yes, that’s the idle mixture screw. Later carb versions had this area moved to top of carb throat , since 4 ganged carbs needed a different approach! Someone probably removed the anti tamper caps for you as a courtesy. Hanging idle is often caused by air leak at carb, maybe leaky boots ,but a...

    Please help

Your pilot system ain’t delivering..bike needs this perfect to have decent idle and smooth transition to higher speed. The fuel bowl has feeder tube that sticks onto carb body…..this is small along with the small hole in bowl bottom that feeds it….this is easily clogged and prevents fuel from...

Where to purchase close to original mirrors? 1981 GS650e

My original stock ? mirrors vibrated shamelessly…..plus the stems were too short. I found some early Honda 1980 ish off the bigger bikes and they worked perfectly. I bought a backup set in case I find the pavement .

    Coil advice

Yes, stick with used OEM Suzuki coils…they were matched to the ignitor…no sense experimenting! Plug caps could be iffy, but they are cheap to replace.

1980 GS250T all around ignition failure?

A two cylinder bike needs both cylinders running perfect to reach redline. 1980 GS250T all around ignition failure?

If a coil is cracked, replace it. The dyna setup comes with its own ignitor (that black/blue gizmo mounted to ignition plate) that takes the positive feed from the Suzuki feed and the coil negative feeds to mimic what the stock setup did. Note that dyns’s mounting plate needs cutout for oil...

1980 GS250T all around ignition failure?

I’d bet the coils are ok…..the ignitor is probably at fault here. I’d consider looking into dyna ignition setup and see if it could work on the gs250….bunch of guys did this to the gs450 to lose the Suzuki setup. Looking at signal coil area ,does it sorta look like this pic with oil sender...
