DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Shinko 712 and Motorcycle SuperStore

Just thought I'd post an experience I had re: Shinko and MCSS. I bought a pr of Shinko 712 tires last Sept 12. It wasn't until 2 weeks ago that I determined the front tire was out of round. In a conversation I had with the Motorcycle Superstore sales rep, I mentioned why I was ordering a...

    Fly and Ride GS1100G

Now Indy Bob, you KNOW that offer I extended you didn't have an expiration date. I doubt it would take much talking to get Doug to ride over from Asheville on his ZRX and join us, or meet us on The Snake. He and I have ridden it numerous times. As recently as last month, in fact, when I was on...

VERY wise to carry a spare r/r. I did the same when I rode the length of Rte 66 and was glad I did. Wound up replacing it in AZ. Good looking package you've got there. Functional yet attractive. Thanks for posting the pics. Willie

Cheap Good Horns! - Wolo 300-2T Low & 305-2T High Horns

Another worthwhile consideration IMO are the horns from Harbor Freight. Two horns, brackets and relay for under $10. Very LOUD too. I've mounted them on several vehicles. Willie

Can I talk you into heading down I-81 about 30 miles across the TN line? If so, I'll show or direct you to what could be some of the nicest roads you'll enjoy this side of the Mississippi. Drive down 81 a little further and you could hop on I-40 West. Definitely worth thinking about. Either...

Couldn't have said it better. Too bad many non-riders just don't "get it". Willie PS Great story and pics, Spiff.

    Fly and Ride GS1100G

I don't mind reporting that I did this for Dan because I enjoyed the satisfaction from taking a chance on helping out the buyer of my Yam GTS1000 last month. In that case, after several long conversations, I extended an offer to pick the buyer up at the airport and put him up at my place for a...

    Fly and Ride GS1100G

Thanks. Both myself and Dan, the new owner, share your opinion of bigshields and backrests. He removed both from his when he got home. I have mixed feelings about the fairing on the bike I kept. I like that its a genuine Suzuki accessory and, as such, pretty rare. I also like the comfort factor...

    Fly and Ride GS1100G

Thanks for the kudos Hovmod. I'm into "paying it forward". I was treated right on buying a vehicle just last month and wanted to make it an even better experience for the buyer of my G. I'm glad I was able to talk him into flying down and riding it home. As for The Snake....personally, I prefer...

Bingo! You're good, Redman. Very good. :) Dan's a great guy and deserving of a great bike. I'm glad he heeded my advice to enjoy the camaraderie here at the GSR. Willie

    DIY tool pouch :)

I had to laff when I read this post because of the timing. I, literally, brought my taped-together OEM tool kit in to make a new one about 5 min. before reading this. THANKS for the ideas! Willie

Vacuum Take Off Adaptor For Carb Balancing

Ironic that you should post a followup today as I have been giving this idea alot more thought and discussing it with friends as recently as this afternoon. Having read through the various threads pertaining to this idea, I recall someone posting the idea of using a vacuum booster valve. I'd...

Vacuum Take Off Adaptor For Carb Balancing

Ahhh, yep. You read it right. Having done this on my last 4 GS's, I've found the most difficult part is installing the adapters. It used to be the most expensive part too but not after reading how to make the adapters from cap screws. Now the entire mod is pretty cheap. If I were to rate it on a...

Vacuum Take Off Adaptor For Carb Balancing

OV66, thanks for copying the info posted elsewhere by RapidRay. I had read it when he posted it, but reading it again was a good reminder. I think I mentioned elsewhere that I had my reservations when you commented that your way of connecting the vacuum lines was far superior to the way the PO...

Vacuum Take Off Adaptor For Carb Balancing

I picked up a couple ft of vacuum hose at the local auto parts store. Its held up fine. Also, I put the hose on after the engine had cooled off. I wasn't in that big of a hurry. Willie
