A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

The ignition relay made a huge difference in starting. It can sit for months and after priming the carbs for 10 seconds, the starter spins for two seconds and it fires up. It was never that easy to start before the relay. (Ignore the blue RTV sealant on the coils. I replaced the wires and had...

You're not wrong. Removing that fairing made an incredible difference in how it handles. We're talking 0 to 60 in under 30 seconds now! :p

Good morning all. Here's our Saturday morning tally. Dpep 1 Baatfam 2 Burgue 1 (none for Borque this week ;) Burque 3 Even with screwy auto correct, attempted early ballot box stuffing and suspicious absentee voting from the big apple, marvinsc has a clear victory with 6 votes...

Voting for Trevor. I realized after the fact it may be rather difficult to show heat, but y'all came through. :encouragement: Several years ago I visited the Trinity site where the original tower (like the one in my pic) stood and first atomic explosion occured. The power and heat that came...

Sorry for the delay. Both my computer and I have had some technical difficulties today :p Also, with the heat wave, several people called me to get their coolers running so it's been a long day. I did get out to ride for a while this morning. Took a few pics, but no theme really presented...

Ooof, didn't think that pic would win. I just thought it was more interesting than the pic I initially posted which was of a recently mounted tire but looking through the wheel, in the background was a place that serves chicken strips. Here's the scene from a different angle. I in...

2008 Yamaha FJR AE, gonna sell for a friend. Or keep?

The power that 1300cc engine puts out is incredible. Smooth running, stable at speeds well into tripe digits. Great wind protection. Comfortable (enough) stock seat for multi day rides. I think by 2008 the FJR heat issue was taken care of. First gen, like my 2003 was HOT! I would hear gas...

    Fortnine review of GS 850

That's a different host ain't it? Wonder where the other guy went. Nice breakdown of the 850's evolution. Shaft tax. Ha! It's such a smooth running all around great machine that I seldom think about the drawbacks. I love my 850.

    Bike Of The Month Submissions

I've thought about submitting my 850 for your consideration. Seems like there have been a few 850's and other shaft driven models in recent months though. Dismal background, but here's my 850 20250906_215130 by Roger, on Flickr

    Profile pic...apparently I'm a noob

I monkeyed with a downloaded image and got it to fill the circle, positioned sort of where I wanted it. Original image was 400X304. I zoomed in and cropped it to 289X224 then positioned the image in the frame a bit off center.
