A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

    Top End Oiler Project

Input, opinions, feedback, wanted Input, opinions, feedback, wanted Which routing do you like better. This? (I think you can tuck the lines in tighter to the head on an 1100, on an 1150 head, it doesn't matter.) OR this? As you can see, you need to sweep the hose out a little...

    GS 1150 Front rotors

The rotors are larger on the 1150, so I don't think the calipers will line up right. But I think the hole patterns are the same.

    Top End Oiler Project

Progress Update Progress Update Starting to get a few components together. -6 AN to 1/8 NPT straight & 90deg. fittings. -6 AN hose ends. I decided to go this route after some suggestions that the original crimped hoses I had been using looked a bit cheap. I really like these better anyway...

    Top End Oiler Project

I am still making parts. They do, however, take a lot of time. One of the things I am severely lacking, for the most part.

    Convert GS750ES into GS750EF

Ah, must be a Canadian model. Alpha Sports shows the EF as being unfaired, round train light for the US. Also I guess that was for the 700, not the 750. Since we didn't get one in '85. My mistake.

    Convert GS750ES into GS750EF

From an ES(fairing) to an E (no cowling) I imagine all you need is the headlight & mounting ears. If you do convert, are you interested in selling the cowling, lowers & mounting frame?

    Top End Oiler Project

Right now, this project is kind of back burner for me. I've got a lot of parts machined, but no time to make hoses, nor enough extra cash to buy the fittings I need to complete the kits. So........I'll get back to them eventually. Just don't have any real time table at the moment.

1100s & 1150s have 20mm rear axles. So did later model Kat 1100s. Differing lengths, however.

Just wanted to thank everyone for the tips & advice. Finished up the wiring & got the bike started this morning. Need to fiddle with the carbs some, but all is good so far.

    Coil Relay

Ahh. I'll swing by Auozone after work & see of I can get the other relay. Otherwise I'll go the terminal block route.

    Coil Relay

Is that yes, I can use the relay I have? Or yes, I need to get a relay where both #87 pins are tied together when the relay is on?

    Coil Relay

Another question. The Bosch Relay I have does NOT have the two #87 pins tied with a common. It has 87a & 87, but the diagram on the side show them as seperate. Can I still use this relay? I am wanting to tie the sense wire from a new reg/rec into one of the 87 pins. Or do I need to get a relay...

    Coil Relay

Been reading up on this mod. Is there any reason to mount the relay close to the coils? As opposed to say farther back under the seat where there is more room? (no air box)

750 Katana Forks vs 1000 Katana

The respective assemblies have different part #s. But several of the internal components are the same. Go to Alpha-Sports & you can cross check individual components. http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm
