All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I'll vote for Trevor this week. Rich, your frame looks bent. Just razzing.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Managed 7-20 minute sessions at Ridge. Poured rain the night before from 11pm-6am. Then the sun came out. 1st session was rather damp, but the rest of the day was most pleasant. Only 45 riders total in 4 groups, so lots of open track. 20250920_193312 by Carter Turk, on Flickr

Katman Is Back On Two Wheels

Hey Rob, good to hear your back, you're able to ride again & want to. I saw a Busa @ Ridge last time I was there. It was a no-chicane day, so I imagine the guy was reaching 175 mph/280kph+ depending on skill at the end of front straight. My old battered Kat is still road worthy after deer incident.

The drain screws are on inside/side 1990 GSXR 1100 36mm. I'm voting for Burque again, as I thought at first glance it was the sun!

Wow, I never win anything! Thanks. That picture is 42 years old. For a theme how about photos taken thru/under your bike (below gas tank) of something scenic or photo worthy. 20250808_162854 by Carter Turk, on Flickr

My friend was a ski racer, racing at White Pass Washington, home of the Mahre brothers. The girlfriends at the time rode with my buddy/racer in a 1976.5 Volkswagen Bus, while I rode the 1980 GS750ET. It belonged to buddies girlfriends brother previous. I dated both of them one after the other...

    What's it like....

I enjoyed the original story at the beginning of this thread. It's really mentally rewarding when you get into a rhythm on the track & keep hitting apex's consistently lap after lap.

PARTZILLA - Carb Boots and Clamps Issues

I cut flat mtn bike tires the width of the clamp, stick them under the clamp, adds a little circumference.

I vote for Rich as the wing/bike placement maybe took a moment.

anyone go for a ride today? Pics?

Managed 7 sessions @ Ridge. Perfect day 70 degrees, but was surprisingly crowded for a weekday. Lots of crashes, but only 1 red flag in my group. This bike was fast, I had trouble keeping up on the straight on the 750. Gusseted frame, F3 wheels, mono shock conversion, 39mm Keihins, a Ti pipe...

I was going to pick Gustovh, as the crack appears to be below all the goo, but then Trevor posted late & reminded me a of a 90's era river crossing on free to me 1979 CR 250. Still have it. I believe I had the 2nd lightest bike & made it across with slimy basket ball size boulders to negotiate...
