I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

GS 750 es : Let s bring it back to life!

I was wondering if you might want a fairing stay for your ES, perhaps a cowling too (but it would need paint, or is it CSP?) I don't know if I have any other spares around like a headlight, but I'll check. Send me a PM if you're interested.

GS 750 es : Let s bring it back to life!

I have to say, this is an amazing project - you have made incredible progress, and all of your work looks awesome! And to think, this will be your first bike. It's really impressive. Congratulations on fantastic work. You are going to love your first (and what could be your only) bike - these...

A couple of pre GS photos

Wow, very cool pictures! Can you see all those drum brakes? and the skinny tires and shocks? The picture looks to be late 60s, very early 70s maybe. Times sure were different back then.... Thanks for sharing - those pictures really capture the era well.

Very Best street use Carburetors for 1983 GS1100E

From what I've read, Mikuni BS34 (CV) carbs are the "best" for street use. Those would be the original carbs for the bike. They might need some tweaking for the Yosh pipe you have. Other carbs will fit and work, and not be too hard to tune in, still others will be more difficult to dial in. That...

    83 katana 1100 fairings on a 83 750 ES?

Hi, Sounds like a neat idea, but you'd need to obtain a GSX 1100 fairing stay (or frame) to secure the cowling to the support frame. The trick will be - does the Katana cowling support frame line up to your ES frame to secure that to the bike? Not sure I've ever heard of that, so can't help you...

    Found: Connecticut Feral Kat

Battleship, Congrats on the Kat. What exactly is it? That's a 750 seat and tail piece, but looks like an 82 frame and wheels (which would make it a 1000). Either way, it sounds like quite a score for $800 - wait til you go for your first ride - you should absolutely love it! Man - what an...

    Loud horn !

For someone like me - who is completely "electrically-challenged", is it preferrable to splice into the existing harness with the relay, or is that to get the stock horn button to work the horn for convenience? Could you just mount an old fashioned button (with a relay) on the handlebar?

    GS Sightings

82 Katana sighted today, Rt 4 S in Bedford MA! 82 Katana sighted today, Rt 4 S in Bedford MA! I was in my cage driving from one office to another today when I spotted a Kat on the road! I was heading north, and he was coming south on route 4 at evening rush hour - first Kat I've seen on the...

    Tick Tick Tick Tick Tick

I have to tell you, I love your bike. Suzuki never offered that model here, though there was a 300 GSX version - a bit "L"-ish IIRC, but it wasn't as sharp as your two color paint scheme with standard/forward type seating. Something about the seat looks pretty sharp too. My ES just developed a...

    gah! it finally happened!

Very sorry to hear some idiot ruined your day, and damaged your bike. The good news is you are ok, and your bike can be fixed. Sounds like you reacted to protect yourself, and it worked! So there are a few great, easy lessons here as well - ride like everyone is trying to kill you :eek...

    The '82 GS1200G project

Congratulations on your test flight! Been watching the project - inspiring to say the least. So, how is your "997" pulling? You should find some 1000 frame covers and put them on if they'll fit - http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?t=178644 then victims can see the covers...

    ID a GS1000SZ engine?

Hi, Not sure if you picked up the engine yet or not - but a couple things to think about. 1. $500 isn't unreasonable for a GSX engine in good shape. 2. When was the last time you saw a Katana engine for sale?

GSX750ES: Chrome/Nickel coating for Exhaust manifold

Great article - thanks for sharing!

    ID a GS1000SZ engine?

GS10X- is correct. 998 cc is correct. The valve cover tach connection has a plug that can be removed, and simply might be missing. A check of the dealer fiche says the part is still available (and the gasket that goes with it.) As far as I know, the 82 Kat is the only 1000cc air cooled 16...

    Exhaust Question

The 78 550 and 79 550 were both 8 valve engines, and so the pipes will most likely line up at the heads the same, use the same gasket, etc. The differences, as were mentioned, will be in the looks of the two different pipes (assuming they're not both L models.) Also, if they are not the same...

Looking for saddlebags to fit 1979 GS850

If you want hard bags, and can find them at a reasonable price, GK bags will bolt right on to your 850. And if you can find a trunk too, there's your back rest! If you go the whole route, there is one piece you might need from the GK donor (where the turn signals would normally mount, there is a...

Around the world on a GS850G for a cause

Welcome home - that is - where you are, reunited with your steed, and with your gear to support your passion. Sorry I missed you when you were at Jareds, sounds like you did fine. Yes, that was a long read, but very entertaining - thank you. And I agree that your night shots are beautiful. I'm...
