If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    Poor Fuel efficiency

It must have been turbulent where they ended, then. I can't remember where that was. Might have been along a frame rail.

    Poor Fuel efficiency

With regards to the vent tubes above the bowls. Mine was siphoning gas out at speed and I was getting fuel starvation and horrible mileage. I then ran the vent tubes up to the tail end of the fuel tank. That solved the problem. It may not be stock routing, but it sure works.

    Wow--Dodged a bullet

Mine was gone when I checked it a year ago. Remedied that with gasket shellac and it is still there. Once while swapping the stator, I noticed that the countershaft sprocket nut was gone. Lucky.

    Question on Valve adjustment

The valve seats wear lessening the clearance over time. A lot of guys on the forum adjust for maximum clearance.

Check if the carb vent tubes are are routed incorrectly. They should end above the float bowls.

Need info on Hagon #2810 adjustable shocks

Been running the 2810 model for a few years. I liked that they customize the spring and build to your weight and riding style.

    spark plug wire routing

Just did mine. I made them as short as possible and clipped the wires together where they come close to each other. I did not use any retainers bolted to the cover. I will post up a pic when I can.

disaster. feeler guage dropped into engine..

It might be magnetic. Try one of those neodymium magnets. I dropped a bolt into the cam chain tunnel on my 1100F and got out my trusty USB borescope camera and was able to find and retrieve it.

Pit Replica seat cover for GS850GD 1983

Minus one on the stitched cover. I bought one of those once and tore it to ribbons when I was installing it. Compared to the Pit Replica piece, the material is thinner and the stitching allows water through.

Can you replace Tubed tyres with Tubeless

FWIW, I run tubeless on the stock rims. However, there is the very real possibility that the tire may come off the rim in case of rapid deflation due to the design of the retention lip. The beads are easier to mount and dismount on a tube-type rim when compared to a tubeless rim.

    Fork braces

Fork slop can be attributed to wear in the lower tubes. I have tried using home made shims (aluminum can) behind new bushings and it helped loads.

RE: Installing a new voltage regulator

I am thinking of doing something like this. I want to end the problem of the old fuses losing contact. Flat bladed fuses are the way to go. I have already replaced the R/R with a series unit. I swapped the the ignitor and r/r locations because the new r/r wouldn't fit.

    Question on spark plug wires

I have been running the green Dyna coils since I got this bike. I have the yellow wires to the plugs and am sick of them. Can I run the stock NGK resistor boots and copper wires with these coils or is there a setup that I should stay away from to avoid doing possible damage to the coils? I...
